Dear Casey,
1. We are independent artists and are not signed anywhere, we deal with our own affairs.
2. The Beat is made by Danial Doel who is a friend of Koohsar, and we wrote the lyrics for our own parts in the song.
3. As independent and underground artists, I and Koohsar share the ownership without going to the "legal" extents of it. It is more of an unsigned, unwritten agreement. Regarding this specific request of yours, Koohsar told me to handle things.
4. No and again, as underground artists who has some idealistic approach towards arts, we don't like getting into that.
5. No.
I have to tell you that we like to spread art and music with any means, we don't sell it and we would be happy if our sound can add to your project. I myself am established with both music and video art and have been doing this for more than a decade without needing to give in to the mainstream ways people go through to spread their work. My work was featured in media outlets like Time Magazine and The guardian, and at this point it would be hard for anyone to copy my music and get away with it.
So if you can proceed this without much fuss you can have the song. But if it is going to make things hard for us we would prefer to not get involved since it is the freedom that we like most about what we do. :)
Best,
Salome
